There is a ministry at Upon This Rock that was designed with you in mind, because we are a ministry "WHERE FAMILIES MATTER"!

Intercessory Prayer

Intercessory prayer is a ministry that has a great responsibility. Standing in the gap on behalf of someone else, pleading their case to God is one of the most awesome task and responsibility that a person can take on. Prayer is the most powerful weapon that we have in our possession to defeat the enemy, because we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

OUR PURPOSE: Is to take the Kingdom of God back by force!

Intercession is done every Saturday from 7:30 - 9:00 am

1st & 3rd Saturday, the women do intercession.

2nd & 4th Saturday, the men do intercession.

5th Saturday, the men and women do intercession.

3rd Tuesday, corporate intercession is done for our teens and youths.

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior;

Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Men's Ministry

A place where man can find himself and God and become whole again.

It was God's intent for man to be the head of his household, leading them into worship, fellowship and discipleship with Him. This ministry is geared to help men of God attain their rightful place in the Kingdom of God, providing support and resources for them to live the life God originally intended for them.

OUR GOAL: Is to help men understand and be responsible to apply this principle in enriching their lives and that of their families.

There is always a place waiting for you, if your desire is to be on a winning team, where men of God come together in unity, genuine love and the Spirit of God flows freely. The men at the Rock meet every 2nd, 4th and 5th Saturday morning at 7:30 a.m. for intercessory prayer and support.

Mother's Ministry

Upon This Rock Mother's Ministry was birthed on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, under the leadership of Sister Lester May Miller. We have answered God's call for the "Rock of Ages" Mother's Ministry, which simply means that mothers of all ages may become a part of this ministry. Why such a young ministry? Because there are many young mothers that attend Upon This Rock and we are all a part of God's body. God gives us whom he wants us to work with, then He take those faithful few and multiply. We are expecting miracles because it's formed in fertile ground out of obedience to God.

OUR PURPOSE: To promote and uphold the mission and vision of Upon This Rock Family Ministries "Where Family Matters" and to ensure that we are always in line with God's divine order.

This ministry is truly blessed. It was spoken into existence by Prophetess Deborah Griggs and blessed by God during our 21 day fast (January 2-21, 2010). Now it's harvest time at Upon This Rock. God has issued "A Call to Order!"

God's call for decency and order is our focus. We will uplift our children and promote family cohesiveness, visit the sick and shut-ins, support other Upon This Rock Ministries, promote expansion of the outreach ministry and fellowship with other churches that know and praise God as we do!

Music Ministry

Praise is an expression of faith and a declaration of victory. It declares that we believe God is with us and is in control of the outcome.

To Praise God is to delight ourselves in Him. O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In His hands are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. The sea is His, and He made it: and His hand formed the dry land. O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our maker. For He is our God; and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. (Psalm 95:1-7)

OUR PURPOSE: To bless the Lord at all times and let His praises continually be in our mouths while helping God's people experience a higher level of worship.
